The Urban Reinventors
Newly released online urban journal featuring pictures and articles on urban topics. The project Urban Reinventors was born in 2005 as an online network involving photographers, reporters, writers, travellers and city activists, so as to analyse strategies of reinvention of the contemporary city. The online diffusion of the content has a scientific character and uses the multiple resources of the new media in order to reach the widest possible audience, trying to establish a cross-sectional dialogue between overground (local institutions, academic world, etc.) and underground (informal groups, private associations, non-profit organizations). The modern city’s condition will be illustrated by means of very different contents ranging from theory to documentary video, from reportage to critical reflections, from novels to photographic galleries.
