Olivier Stak discovered graffiti during a trip to London in 1987. He painted his first graff in 1988 in Paris with Colorz. From 1988 to 1994, he worked at defining his style, writing on the walls of major European cities. The founder of WorldSigns, a quarterly review devoted to the art of graffiti, Olivier Stak, is undeniably rooted in urban expression (tag and graff). In 1995 he converted his signature into a logo and began to work with a variety of materials ranging from neons to stickers. This book features a selection of interventions completed between 1988 and 2004 in the city or in galleries and just as graffiti has been erased, the majority of the works presented in this book no longer exist.
